Hitit University Achieves Significant Progress in Accreditation and Turkey Qualifications Framework (TQF) Compliance
Hitit University has made remarkable strides in its accreditation efforts and alignment with the Turkey Qualifications Framework (TQF), aimed at enhancing the quality of education and teaching and ensuring compatibility with national and international standards. With these determined efforts, the university has become a model institution in its region.
Since its establishment, Hitit University has pursued a vision of producing qualified graduates, and recent tangible steps have crowned its successes.
In 2024, Hitit University established the Office for TQF Compliance and Accreditation to coordinate accreditation activities and manage the TQF alignment process, accelerating work in this area. With the creation of this office, the university’s journey toward quality and accreditation has been institutionalized.
Major Advances in Program Accreditation
Numerous programs within the faculties and vocational schools of Hitit University have been successfully accredited by national and international accreditation bodies recognized for their competence.
Between 2023 and 2025, following on-site evaluation processes, a total of 13 undergraduate and associate degree programs within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Vocational School of Health Services, Vocational School of Social Sciences, and Vocational School of Technical Sciences were accredited.
While the university initially obtained accreditation for 2 programs in 2024, this number increased to 13 in 2025.
International Recognition with TQF-Logo Diplomas
Another notable achievement for Hitit University is earning the right to include the TQF logo on diplomas.
The TQF logo ensures that graduates’ knowledge, skills, and competencies are recognized and valid at an international level, giving Hitit University graduates a stronger starting point for international career opportunities. As of 2025, 8 of the accredited programs received the TQF logo.
Ongoing Accreditation and TQF Alignment Efforts
In addition to the 13 programs accredited across six academic units, accreditation applications for 9 new programs were completed in 2025.
These programs include: Economics, Political Science and Public Administration, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Banking and Insurance, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Coaching Education. Evaluation processes are ongoing for these programs.
Upon completion of on-site visits, the total number of accredited programs is expected to reach 22 by 2026.
The process of obtaining the TQF logo is also progressing rapidly. By the end of 2025, 5 additional programs are expected to receive the TQF logo, bringing the total number of TQF-logo programs to 13.
